  1. Amazing! I've seen runners from Africa run barefoot and having run myself in earlier times, I just find it incredible! I was doing good to fun with shoes on! Thanks for a beautiful photo!

  2. I think it's interesting that some African runners run barefoot. How more natural can it be?

  3. I am also a barefoot-girl, as soon as the weather allows me I kick off my shoes to feel sand, gras and gravel under my feet. But I don't run much though... =o)

  4. Man, his feet must be like pig iron! I can't even imagine 26.2 miles on pavement barefoot.

Come to think of it, I can't imagine running 26.2 miles... period!

  6. Running a marathon barefoot is amazing. If very many people do this, they should have a separate trophy for the fastest barefoot marathoner.

  7. Wow! can't believe that anyone can run such a long distance barefoot. Its amazing to see that people take on such challenges even when the market is flooded with best of shoe brands.

Laudable connect with the B alphabet.

  10. And look at those muscled legs!
Barefoot people have healthier feet than shod people.
I live in sandals and rarely wear closed shoes here in Hawaii...
    Nice picture! Aloha & Namaste

  17. You are putting all you Marathon images to good use. I cannot imagine doing this, especially in barefoot. Great catch in full flow.

  18. Made me think of Zola Budd, who competed in athletics, without shoes. She competed in the Olympic Games many years ago.
Makes the runningshoeproducers with all their theories about which shoe for which foot and the right amount of bounce and so forth, look a bit suspicious. Are they really considering our feet or just their sales? Oh well, I can't imagine running barefoot. Great photo!

  25. It's impossible to imagine how he could run barefooted on the road in the heat. His feet must be like leather..

  26. I just love to free me feet from shoes and stockings, but I like to wear sandals. There might be small stones and other things that hurts. I agree with Angela - His feet must be like leather :)

  27. Barefoot and running! Nice action photo.

  28. He must have very tough feet!

But we grow the protection that our feet need, don't we? If we pumice off the hard skin and always wear shoes, our feet are bound to be soft!

  29. Hmm. The way my shoes hurt me at times, I could be tempted to revert to shoelessness! Fine as long as there's no glass or anything around.
    A different choice for B.

I'm also here on behalf of the ABC Team to thank you for posting.

  31. What a great capture and what freedom he has not to be bound by mere shoes. If I could I would run around with no shoes on my feet all day, one of the reasons I enjoy going to the beach when I have the rare opportunity. Your photos are wonderful.
