  1. Having no colour in the phot really makes it seem threatening, as though there could be a storm at any momnet, even these do not appear to be stormclouds, if you know what I mean.
    Thanks for sharing!

  3. You do indeed do them beautifully! I guess we all see something different, instead of threatening, I see fragile. Isn't that the fun thing about photos -- everyone sees them differently, just like paintings. Thank you.

  5. Great texture in your clougy Sky. Perfect for B&W Monochrome, it's even more thick and "fleecy".

  6. Catherine's right..it does look fleecy. Certainly it works beautifully in B&W.

  10. Great texture, the sunlight on the "wrong" side lends an interesting lighting effect too.

  11. I like it very much. The texture is lovely and we are having a similar cloudy day here in Florida.

  12. Your sky shots are always awesome. I really like the light behind the clouds, and the varied textures.

In response to your question about the bell. It is the bell from the original courthouse which burned in 1865 (I think that's the right year). The bell was the only thing salvaged from the ruins. It's believed arson caused the fire.

  13. Your monochromatic view(s) are very enjoyable. There is a poetic silence in them.

  16. If it weren't for the top of those buildings this could be a photo of the sea and gentle waves. Its a great photo :)

  17. In response to what Marley said above, I was thinking the same thing. These clouds could be waves in a river or ripples in the sand. Lovely MM. Greetings from sunny San Ramon.
