ABC Wednesday - P for Pao

This is the ubiquitious pao of Mumbai. A fast food mainstay to be eaten with a lot of savories or in the old Irani restaurants would be eaten with a dollop of butter and chai.

  8. If it looks like bread (smells like bread, tastes like bread) it must be bread! I went on Google to discover the mysteries of Indian bread rolls & there were none! :)

  33. They look like crusty bread rolls! I guess nearly every country has its form of bread, whether made with yeast or not, whether made with wheat or another grain. Sadly, I have a yeast intolerance and shouldn't eat it!

  34. A Portuguese heritage word, that.
