Thursday Challenge - clothes

The dress that the ladies are wearing in the picture is the 'salwar kameez' popularly known as the Punjabi dress. The top is called 'Kameez' and the bottom is called the 'salwar'. This is commonly worn by the women here for its comfort level while commuting and working.

  5. I love this style of clothes. I have been to a few Punjabi social events in California and here in Seattle, and the clothes the women wear at them are so fantastically beautiful and look comfortable also. I like the idea of thin pants under a flowing short dress. Perfect.

  11. I like the clothes the women are wearing; if it were acceptable in the U.S., I wouldn't mind dressing that way! Lovely textiles and looks comfortable.
