A moving tribute, a sad reality and a beautiful capture.
I find all these memorials, while fitting tributes, to be terribly sad. A testimony to the inability of the human race to come to grips with the fact we are all one family.
A hero's memorial to a valiant fighter for your country...very sad, good photography.
The least we can do is render tribute to his memory.....
A fitting tribute....Mine is up
Beautiful words, Magiceye - but oh, so sad.
Sad post todaybut its the reality !!Have a relaxing weekend :-)
I love the saying "the world is a fine place and worth fighting for" indeed it is.
He's a great man. Excellent tribute.
The Lieutenant was a Gurkha, I see. When I think of Gurkhas, think of super courageous fighting men.
a salute for him!Check out my husband's 20 years in the navy. Have a great weekend!
Oh wow. I just noticed the date. November 11 is Veterans Day here in the States. Was the Kargil War still ongoing when he was killed, or was this an insurgent action? Seems like Kargil was over before then, but perhaps not.I guess in Kashmir, the war is never really "over" is it. How sad that a place can be at once so beautiful and so deadly.Aram se Lieutenant. Aur jai hind!
Its good to look back of what our heroes have done to defend and liberate us.Take a look at my HERO
A real HERO!
I got creeps seeing all these monument-pictures today. Reading all comments about heroes.I agree with what you've said in your comments, completly. It's time to give for the world to give peace a chance.Take care and stay safe!Anna
A fitting tribute to the fallen hero!
It's better to die in valour then to live like a coward - a sterling tribute
We all are really proud of him
I have an update from my posting last week...
