Thursday Challenge - Sports

Birding is a growing sport in Mumbai now. There are quite a few competitions heldd in the city to spot the maximum number/type of birds.
This photogrpah is taken from the Maharashtra Nature Park in Mahim/Dharavi.

  5. Birding is big in Costa Rica. We have more different species of birds than all of the USA and canada combined, even thogh we are the size of Switzerland, or West Virginia.

  8. It is strange for me to see birding defined as a sport but it is good that it is spreading: with interest in birds comes interest in preserving nature.

  14. Birding is fun and just like yesterday here in front of our house two yellow birds I think it's a warbler, was at the hummingbird feeder I was happy just by watching them. Then after few minutes a woodpecker came by, just so cool to see this tiny creatures that makes human happy. Happy Thursday!

  16. I wouldn't have thought of bird watching as a sport, but I suppose it's not so very different from hunting. Except for the bird that is.
