  7. Superb shot!!! A humble abode but a home undoubtedly!!! I wish you could have taken shots of Bhopal houses--they were like continous rows of matchbox houses and yet alive somehow...

  11. Bandra hasn't changed even after so many years. I still remember the Sahakar bazaar, Neptune theatre and the falooda wala opposite and kattalkhana near the station. Mcronnells at Hill Road, Frankies and Gazebo at Linking Road, and I wish these places would survive. Though my grandfathers and family name still is on the road sign and places but no one lives there. Only the names survive for few years and memories! Ah!

    1. Indeed! May I know the family name that you talk about?

    2. Tendulkar!! Dr. Vithal Raghunath marg or the old St. Martins Cross Road. The gymkhana at the end of the lane, the school near Pali Road etc is also named. In Sai Satcharitra the name appears as Savitribai Raghunath Tendulkar(my Great Grand mother). Dabholkar(one who wrote Satcharitra) was our neighbour. The creation of Mahim and Bandra Causeway with Kher(Kher Nagar)by them is also a part of legacy. Funny, like Gulzar says" Naam gum jayega!"

  21. well , must say , u have hawk's eye ..very nice capture as even though I cross such dwellings quite a number of times , never bother to give them a thought, the walls, the lives inside them, their aspirations, dreams , sorrows..... Very nice !
