  4. That is so Indian for the theme...dried leaves fluttering on a concrete pavement at any season, such that autumn and spring almost moves side-by-side on the trees with sometimes autumn overpowering and other times spring overpowering...

  14. Great minds run in the same ruts, I've heard. This afternoon Lois and I stopped at a small ice cream store in a small Florida town and when we went outside to eat our ice cream, I noted a lot of leaves on the ground. One leaf had settled in the napkin container so naturally I had to take a photo. Most of our trees retain their leaves until the first freeze which may not occur at all but if it does, somewhere around late December or January. But we do have a couple of trees that lose their leaves a couple of times a year for no reason that I can ascertain! :-) And then we have Live Oak trees which hang onto their leaves year-round.

  15. The photograph captures the season nicely. The dry leaves make a beautiful layer on the ground. Every season has its charm and beauty.

  17. I haven't been to your blog in quite a while and it was very interesting to get back and look at what you've been doing. It's nice to see the fall colors so far away and the very interesting pattern in the walkway there. I'm glad you are still keeping up on your blog.
