Kigelia is a
genus of flowering plants in the family Bignoniaceae. The genus consists of
only one species, Kigelia africana, which occurs throughout tropical Africa.
The so-called sausage tree grows a poisonous fruit that is up to 60 cm (2 feet)

The 'Alphonso' mango is a named mango cultivar that originated in India. The variety is named after Afonso de Albuquerque, a Portuguese general and military expert who helped establish Portuguese colonies in India. The Portuguese introduced grafting on mango trees to produce varieties like Alphonso. The Alphonso is also one of the most expensive varieties of mango, and is grown mainly in western India. The Sion Hillock Fort was built under the regime of the English East India Company, between 1669 and 1677, atop a conical hillock when Gerard Aungier was the Governor of Bombay.
