Sign of time

The tablet sign on the bridge gives a brief history of the over a century old bridge that connects Mumbai to Greater Mumbai (suburbs). Click on the photo to zoom in and read.
It was initially constructed in 1843 and widened to provide a 100' wide road in the year 1941.

  1. Reckon it was built very solid back in the day - nice it is still around.

  2. I look out on a 100-year-old bridge myself. I love these old structures and I'm happy to see them still living

  4. From the looks of it, it could use a cosmetic overhaul.

  8. Me gusta lo que se ve en la imagen y su placa ofreciendo un resumen de la historia del puente.

  9. Unfortunately, even when zooming in, I can’t read the writing on the tablet sign on the bridge – it’s just too tiny on my screen. But I really like the weathered look of the sign and the bridge structure – such a historic feel! (Fingers crossed the bridge is still stable... 😅)
    All the best,
