On the docks

Activity on the Sassoon docks after the fishing boats have offloaded, sold the fish in an auction and gone away. The fish has been sorted, packed and now on the way to the retail markets of Mumbai. From my archives.

The Indian Golden Oriole

A regular visitor on the tree outside my window but doesn't sit for long. Always in a hurry to go somewhere, typical Mumbai resident. 😊

The Indian golden oriole (Oriolus kundoo) is a species of oriole found in the Indian subcontinent and Central Asia. The species was formerly considered to be a subspecies of the Eurasian golden oriole, but is now considered a full species. Adults can be told apart from the Eurasian golden oriole by the black of the eye stripe extending behind the eye. Wikipedia.
