Having no colour in the phot really makes it seem threatening, as though there could be a storm at any momnet, even these do not appear to be stormclouds, if you know what I mean. Thanks for sharing!
You do indeed do them beautifully! I guess we all see something different, instead of threatening, I see fragile. Isn't that the fun thing about photos -- everyone sees them differently, just like paintings. Thank you.

In response to your question about the bell. It is the bell from the original courthouse which burned in 1865 (I think that's the right year). The bell was the only thing salvaged from the ruins. It's believed arson caused the fire.
