Hotel & restaurant

A street with a row of shops at Lower Parel in Mumbai. The sign on the extreme right reads 'Hotel New Mayur Garden Restaurant'. Actually it's just a restaurant but in India most of the small eateries refer to restuarants as hotels.

Warli Mural

As I am travelling outside India, I might post from my archives and not too regularly either. Apologies for not being able to visit your amazing posts too!

Another beautiful mural on the wall of the Mumbai University Kalina campus.

Warli art is an ancient tribal folk art from Maharashtra, India, traditionally created by women on mud-walled huts using white rice paste. Dating back as far as 2500–3000 BCE, this style uses basic geometric shapes—circles, triangles, and squares—to depict daily life, nature, and community rituals.
