Marigolds

It is the time for marigolds! In the festive season this is the most popular flower that is used as offering to the Gods as garlands or decoration in the temples.

    1. Well they don't smell like roses but have a sharp and rich fragrance.

  2. Nice sight-of-the-season. It's also the time that we see lots of artificial marigolds. I probably saw them most of these 9 days. :) It does help create that festive atmosphere. :)

Flowers are so beautiful, different kinds, fragrances, shapes and colours. From the pale shades to the vibrant ones, they can brighten up a home and make someone's day a little brighter. I love the flowers in my garden although with winter around the corner they are few in number. Will wait for sunnier days to come to see them in full bloom. I dont have a favourite flower but love the delicate shades. Nice pic of marigolds.

  9. Hello and thank you for your nice comment on my blog. My husband and I have been to India twice (2010 and 2013) at this time of the year and can still remember the Marigold garlands very well.
All the best from Austria, Traude
