SIgns

The sign on the big building top is 'Indian Oil'. It is the head office of Indian Oil Corp. There are 2 signs on the autorickshaw. On the bottom left written in Devnagari script is 'Aditi' which is a name dear to the autorickshaw driver. On the centre is written Max 3 Pass (meaning maximum 3 passengers).

Clicked this at the crossroads in Bandra.

There is something retro about this shot... the saturation of the colour, perhaps? Makes a great composition. YAM xx

    1. It is the combination of colours of the bus that gives it a retro feel, specially the blue and yellow.

  3. I especially love all the colors. Your last comment ... I had an Indian customer. She refused to visit her family in India with her two young daughters. I thought she was exaggerating. Think she had concerns for a reason after all...?
I was an accident and then but a girl.
One friend (who got "unfriended" by my Dad long before we knew of Internet/FB) wrote:
"Congrats to the baby. Wishing you a 'golden Son' next year".
It was not only India... My Dad (I was told) threw him out for good.
I still have the little "book" Dad made for me and these words are really there. "the baby" - no sex, just an "it"....

    1. Patriarchy was unfortunately universal though now with the emergence of woman power, things are changing for the better.
