  7. you well captured both an early moment and a rare stillness.

With APEC here there is no parking at Ala Moana Park

so the busy beach and surf look empty! Tomorrow I will walk in and shoot the rare scene as you have.

  13. Holidays in England tend to have the opposite effect - everyone gets up and starts rushing around - so this reminds me of early mornings setting out to work before most people are up. Sometimes there can be a really exciting atmosphere of newness, and air that something interesting is about to happen. Shows how what we see in a picture is determined by our own histories and cultural experience - and how important explanation can sometimes be.

  18. Bus stops also have no people here but for different reasons: there's a public transport strike today.

  19. I was going to say...usually photos of public places in India show crowds of people. This looks serene.

  24. What an awesome of that quiet time in Mumbai, a city which I would think would be bustling all of the day and night....even in the outer neighborhoods. A cart, a car or two, and the traditional bars across the shop. It does look empty, but I know that will end soon. A wonderful capture. genie
