Gurukul

Mumbai University has proposed to start a Gurukul in its Kalina campus.

Gurukul is a traditional method of teaching that has been practiced in India for centuries. The word "gurukul" literally means "home of the guru," and it refers to a type of school where students live and study with their teacher in a residential setting.

The whole Gurukul system was based on experiential learning and was practice based with subjects such as astronomy, medicine, philosophy, political science, economics, religion, yoga, physical education, and defense studies as its major components.

Happy World Bicycle Day

Mumbai celebrated World Bicycle Day by having a bicycle rally that was well attended.

The women were dressed in traditional Maharashtrian saris.

Riding in tandem too!

Overall a Sunday morning well spent spreading awareness of bicycle riding.
