Mithi river

Bridge over the Mithi river in Bandra Kurla Complex. It flows into the Arabian sea in the Mahim Bay.

The Mithi River is a river on Salsette Island, the island of the city of Mumbai, India. It is a confluence of tail-water discharges of the Powai and Vihar lakes. The river is seasonal and rises during the monsoons. The overflowing lakes also contribute to the river flow, which is stopped by a dam at other times. Wikipedia

Purple rumped sunbird

A purple rumped sunbird visited me yesterday,

The purple-rumped sunbird is a sunbird endemic to the Indian Subcontinent. Like other sunbirds, they are small in size, feeding mainly on nectar but sometimes take insects, particularly when feeding young. They can hover for short durations but usually perch to suck nectar from flowers. Wikipedia

Corn moon

The Corn moon in Bandra east.

The full moon of September was known as the Corn Moon and the Barley Moon by some   Native American cultures because it arrives at harvest time for those essential crops. ... It   often also is known as the Harvest Moon, which is the full moon closest to the autumnal   equinox.
