Mangroves..

Mangroves that are slowly making way for 'development' in Bandra (East). Mangroves are considered to be very important ecologically but the builder lobby along with politicians think otherwise leading to the decimation of ecological balance. Quite a few non governmental organizations have taken up cudgels to save our delicate environment. Hope common sense prevails over Mammon.

  1. Well clearly.. the mangroves should stay..Too much of nature's fragile balance has already been disturbed being overruled by concrete highways and "space-lab" buildings to live in or work in (16th floor with AC).
Some research was done in the Netherlands trying to find a place where full "silence" still could be found without human noise: there is none left!!Even in the middle of our so-called forests, the "trembling" of the nearest highway is still there..its polution to go with it.
