I once heard that there were hundreds of varieties of bananas in the world, but the US only sees one kind that was engineered to ship & store well. It seems that we may be missing out on good things this way! Fun shot :)

Not long ago, Jules of Papua New Guinea showed how the banana flower was cooked and presented. I wonder if the Tamilians eat the flowers as well.
