Mumbai is on a massive Construction trip. Everywhere you will find o ld structures being demolished and new skyscrapers being built. Only hope that infrastructure is also being taken care of to ensure a regular supply of power and water. This picture was taken in Prabhadevi.
We are also in a strange growth phase where buildings are springing up, but we are in the midst of a serious power crisis due to lack of planning for infrastructure growth, and are getting dire warnings that water supply is heading the same way... a bit scary, we can live without power if we have to, but water?

Yes, thats the problem with new developments. Sometimes they don't do anything to improve the surrounding services.
ReplyDeleteThis building boom has grasped almost the entire nation today and land and realty prices has skyrocketed for the last few years. I just wish the bubble doesn't burst with interest rates going up and a general oversupply every where...nice shot!
