When it pours in Mumbai, the service roads or bylanes tend to get flooded for a while, as can be seen in the picture which was taken at Vile Parle (East), a suburb.
@anu.. yes it does and no the milan subway was not closed as the authorities had employed 2pumps to pump out the water and they had a temporary bridge in place.
c'est vraiment impressionnant. Cela ne pas ĂȘtre facile de bouger pendant le temps de la mousson this is really impressive. This will not be easy to move during the time of the monsoon
it doesnt rain often enough in crete for this to happen on a regular basis, but when it does rain, due to the bad road conditions, our roads tend to get sloshed. i love driving through a rain flood the next day (when it has stopped raining,) and get a free car-wash
It's very logical but I just realize from your picture that you drive on the left, like in the UK.
ReplyDeleteNice pic of waterlogging on the road.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not mistaken, this rroad leads to Santacruz subway too. oh, that must be full of water and closed, is it?

ReplyDeleteWow, maybe I won't moan about the Scottish weather any more! (well, probably I will, but I am glad it's not been like this for a while!).
ReplyDeleteThats a good example of flash flooding! I suppose you get used to it!
