"Louis" finds the image, in contrast to what Hilda and Kris saw, as being foreboding. Be that as it may, it is an interesting shot and certainly a fine entry for Monochrome Monday!
Once there was an entertainer here in the US called Kate Smith. Her theme song was 'When the moon comes over the mountain' ... I was a kid when she was singing that and I thank you for the memory
Wow, that is some picture.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. I love all the subtle shades of gray.
ReplyDeleteEven in monochrome, the sun's light is still very much visible!
ReplyDeleteMy Monochrome post is here. Hope you can check it out, too! Thanks!
Very atmospheric photo — lovely!

What a great photo, Magiceye!! The b&w gives a special touch to the atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! I thought it was the moon when I first saw it!
ReplyDeleteI like this picture very much. Great range of tones. Plus an air of expectation or mystery. Nice.

That's just magical! I love how you can see 'differently' in B/W than color.
ReplyDeleteYou've managed to capture this perfectly. Moody and majestic. Stuuning.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. In black and white the sunrise looks like a bright moon rising!
ReplyDeleteIf not for the buildings, this could have been taken on the moon. Unusual to see a sunrise or sunset shot in B&W... but interesting nonetheless
ReplyDeleteThis has a real eerie tone to it. I like the different tones, lines, and angles here too. :D

ReplyDeleteI love your grey shaded tones. The dark skyline to the light of the sun. Real success for Monochrome!
ReplyDeleteSimple but very atmospheric.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and soft. Monochrome monday that's new to me. I like your moth :-) and your skywatch is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLove the timing and the b&w. Great capture!
