  4. I can see why they call it that. Wasn't this where they filmed part of Mani Ratnam's Bombay? Looks familiar at least. Right after they arrive in Bombay and get married, there's a scene like this.

  12. Old Mumbai must be hiding many a fascinating story. It seems laden with history all circling round that turret in the centre! Lovely shot!

    Congratulations to the people of Mumbai! 'Slumdog millionaire' has won the Oscar for best movie! I haven't seen it yet but read Vikas Swarup novel 'Q&A' a couple of years ago and just loved it! :-)

  24. Hey, it was so neat to see so many people from Mumbai on stage at the Oscars last night! What a wonderful musical performance, too. I haven't seen the movie yet, but can't wait. Love your B/W photo, too. I've been meaning to ask you what is happening with the old landmark hotel that was damaged in the terrorist attack. I'm assuming they are doing the restoration - ? The building in your photo reminded me of it.
