  5. @spacedlaw, these are used for any celebration including marriages and during festive times there are plays based on myths and legends in which the characters use these costumes.

  8. Oh boy !!! People use those. They must belong like with their Regional Dresses. This is so exotic for a Scandinavian.

    The turban is a headdress consisting of a long scarf-like single piece of cloth wound around the head. To check out the different types of turbans check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turban
