Reminds me of a very famous musician of the 60s by the name of Ravi Shankar (I think - They say if you remember the 60s you didn't live them) LOL. Anyway, nice pic.
I'd always wondered what that instrument was called. I just knew what it wasn't. As in it wasn't a sitar or a tambura.
There's a guy in my office from Gujarat that's schooled in Indian classical music. I'll have to dig up the URL for his website. I haven't heard him play myself, but apparently he's fairly well known locally.
