  8. A few years ago I learned that it is the diet that makes them pink, but I heard it was the high intake of shrimp. I've seen a few flamingos that weren't pink before also. Nice backlit shot.

Lovely pic..Reminds me of the time when I was sent to AIroli to track the pink flamingo hoardes that had supposedly landed there...So after driving all the way from nariman point to airoli, what we managed to get were four shots of five pink flamingos...and I remember my cameraperson shooting tight frames, so that it looked like what the BNHS guy had excitedly told us about...Hordes of Pink Flamingos Arrive in Mumbai..:)
