A now defunct water fountain in Bandra which has a plaque that states that it was 'Presented by
Jafferbhai Ludha Chatu Esq., to the Municipality of Bandra 1894.' It is transcribed in Gujarati also.

ReplyDeleteThere are so many like this lovingly preserved across UK. Where in Bandra is this? The British and the imprints they leave behind. So much of what I see in London, reminds me of those wonderful buildings in South Mumbai which have been let to go to seed..
