Monochrome mania

There are these enclosures in Mumbai called 'Kabutar khanas' where all thos who wish to feed the birds can come and do so. Members of the Jain community come and do it religiously.
This is opposite the General Post Office in South Mumbai.

    I have seen a similar one at Dadar too.

    Thank God they are busy eating or you can imagine what it would be like if they turned noisy and cooed!!

    This is definitely what one would call a "feeding frenzy" - they don't look at all malnourished.

    What an incredible photo! I've never seen so many pigeons together. They must make quite a mess in the enclosure. It's a lovely idea to have these places for those who want them, and thank you for showing this.

    very nice...in ahmedabad its they make these structures for feeding the birds, and they are also called kabootarkhana!
