MyWorld

'Bun maska' (Buns with butter) and 'paanikum chai'(milky tea) the all time favorites in the Irani cafes of Mumbai. These cafes are extinct now.

  6. we still have the traditional cafes here even when Starbucks and other new cafes pop up like mushrooms. i would enjoy this bun with butter with coffee.:p

  8. Yes, we don't see many Irani cafes these days...they used to have that typical ambience, furniture etc etc.

  18. Wonderful picture, these were the preferred choice of breakfast when I was a kid. I still remember crying and bringing the world down for my share of bun and black coffee :)
    And as promised I have started my photography experiment :)

  19. won't say that these cafes are extinct. we still have sassanian, kayanis, stadium, cafe samovar, britannia, wayside inn....reducing in number would be apt....btw nice click...
