I remember when i was small i used to insist going in a double decker bus on my visit to Mumbai as we dont have double decker buses in Aurangabad.. great capture..
Nostalgic I go as I see this picture. In 2004-05 I was in Mumbai and was a common commuter in them. So many memories running dowm my brain now. Thanks for this wonderful picture.
At first I was expecting to see downtown London, but then I saw I was way far away from where they really were. Love the old double deckers. They are so colorful and such fun to ride. Wish we had them here in the USA. Such a nice and festive shot....ready for the holiday season..RED! genie
In the 90's as a kid i used to love travelling in those double-decker buses in Bangalore. We don't see them on Bangalore's roads anymore. Precious capture. :)
nice shot of the huge doubledeckers contrasting the tiny rickshaws. mumbai's bus transport system is great. the rail system needs improvement however:))
I miss these buses here in Bangalore. In Trivandrum I have boarded double deckers a few times. I think Trivandrum is the only city in south India to have these kind of buses.
Ah, the red double decker bus from Mumbai :) . At last count, there were 122 double deckers left and it is sad that they are silently phasing them out due to other reasons like Metro construction, Monorail work etc. Still have a lot of memories like waiting for a double decker to go to Matunga in the 1990s to buy coffee powder :)
Marvelous capture and look at your world! Have a great day!
