Flat tires are not as common as they used to be. Thank goodness. As a kid I would look at pictures of my dad and mom and it seemed they were always standing by a car with a flat tire. (Most often a Model A). I asked my dad about it and he said they would usually had a flat every 100 miles or so and when they stopped to fix it everyone took photos! :-)
