ReplyDeleteHey, that sounds like what happens in many offices in Manila too. I don't even know if we have a name for them, though. We just call them "manong" if male and "manang" if female, but those words are really just honorifics and not descriptive of what they do.

No way Deepak..they must have a wonderful sense of balance, it would take a while..I can imagine many confused meals if it was me doing the deliveries!!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I had lived in Asia for 12 years I have never seen these men delivering food to groups of people,and I have never heard of the Dabbawala system. Great choice for D !
