  13. What a beautiful sculpture! I got my ticket for India will arrive Mumbai, June 3. Am looking for living accommodations in Mumbai this time - though I know I
    can't find a place as nice as what I had in Jaipur for under $300 a month.

  14. My friend Robin Jeffrey wrote a book about the press in India. I want to say "recently" but to me that could be any time in the past 20 or even 30 years. Definitely post-Horniman, anyway.
    I don't expect to see any statues erected in honor of Robin, but his PhD (in the late 1960s) was about India, and he knows your country well.
    The Horniman memorial is lovely, especially in this shot with the birds flying nearby. My working life was spent in the printing and newspaper industry, and I know how important freedom of the press was in the 20th century.
