Incidentally, our Prime Minister elect, who will be sworn into office today, started out as a tea seller in the state of Gujarat!

I would guess the tea seller would be quite welcome with people who are working hard. Are you pleased with the election of your new prime minister? I'm so ignorant of what goes on in India. :(
ReplyDeleteSomeone sent me a whattap vdo of an artist who painted Mr Modi using Tea bags with the same chai that the chai seller is selling...the background was all the heavy sounding slogans of Mr Modi. Can't tell much about what the leadership is going to be but was sure impressed with the artist...maybe if u r on whattap u would've already seen what i am talking about. No dearth of talent in our country...only thing how well they are appreciated is yet something the leaders and we the general junta have to think about.
ReplyDeleteYour monochrome is also very good. love the way u have captured 'A' chai break of the 'mango' people. lingering on the diagonal shadow across the face of the tea seller and his disposable cup stock which perhaps soon he will have to find a replacement for..."no plastic'' is akin to go green but do these poor guys have any options. Mr Modi should come up with one...all those promises...uff...for starters one for the poor chai wala...a biodegradable cheap and profitable disposable cup.
