Small stupas in Kanheri caves in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali.
The stupa itself is a symbol of the Buddha, and more
accurately, of his enlightened mind and presence. The mound itself is said to
represent the form of the seated Buddha, meditating and striving towards
enlightenment.
Really interesting. I love the colors and shapes of this place.
ReplyDeleteYou made me "wiki" this. Interesting, I never knew. Really, what did I learn in 13 years of going to school??? Only Hit#er, it seems.
