The daily wage earner

Wonder what she is doing now during the lockdown period. Is she going hungry? Will she make it through this terrible time and if she does, how much longer will she have to wait before getting a job? She is a migrant who had come to make a living in Mumbai and now she might not have a home to stay in.
She is a representation of all the daily wage earners in India today who are suffering the most.

This picture was taken before the imposition of the lockdown.

  4. Hard to imagine, having been an IT-person in my working life, but I sure feel with these people, it must be hard, sad and frightening...

Indeed, even here in the UK, it is those who are without homes, or far down the social scale who are at greatest risk from the collateral damage of this viral madness... What a lovely portrait you have taken of this lady... YAM xx

  9. It is heartening to see that few of my fellow citizens still think about them in these otherwise crazy times where people are still fighting over religious and political lines. Thanks.
