Fruit bat


An Indian flying fox also known as the Greater Indian fruit bat hanging out on a tree outside my window.. It is a species of flying fox found in the Indian subcontinent and is one of the largest bats in the world.

  2. What a wonderful sighting! How big is this beautiful animal? We often see bats in our neighborhood at dusk, flying about and controlling the bug population. But ours are small, with tiny bodies and a wing span of about 6 inches.
