I´m astonished it´s sweet. Here they "sell" is as meat-alternative (I´ve never tried it).
Sweet when ripe, the raw ones are also used in curries and yes sold as meat alternative.
Yum! Now I'm going to have to look for some jackfruit this weekend. :)
