Urban Art
Art installation by Sakshi Gupta at the Mumbai Urban Art Festival in Sassoon Docks.
Sakshi Gupta's (@sakshiguptastudio) works at the Mumbai Urban Art Festival 2022-2023 are a commentary on the contemporary world. Created from metal scraps, glass beads, and found material, they highlight the shift from the economics of heavy industry to the weightless age of information and technology.
The dialogue between the metal landscape and the pigeons questions the concept of waste, recycling and industry. The work reflects on the relationship between the natural world and the manufactured one.
Sakshi Gupta attempts to push the boundaries between art and life by juxtaposing materials in unexpected ways.

Old tree
An old banyan tree in the Bandra Kurla Complex. Hope it survives the ravages of 'development' in the area.
