The Indian Golden Oriole
A regular visitor on the tree outside my window but doesn't sit for long. Always in a hurry to go somewhere, typical Mumbai resident. 😊
The Indian golden oriole (Oriolus kundoo) is a species of oriole found in the Indian subcontinent and Central Asia. The species was formerly considered to be a subspecies of the Eurasian golden oriole, but is now considered a full species. Adults can be told apart from the Eurasian golden oriole by the black of the eye stripe extending behind the eye. Wikipedia.

Gulmohar
It's the time for the Gulmohars alo known as May flowers to bloom. The above photo was taken from my balcony.
Delonix regia is a species of flowering plant in the bean family Fabaceae, subfamily Caesalpinioideae native to Madagascar. It is noted for its fern-like leaves and flamboyant display of orange-red flowers over summer. In many tropical parts of the world it is grown as an ornamental tree and in English it is given the name royal poinciana, flamboyant, flame of the forest, or flame tree (one of several species given this name). Mumbai missed the fury of the cyclone 'Nisarga' by a whisker but we got some windy and rainy weather. The skies were uniformly grey.
