African Tulip tree
An African Tulip tree in Bandra.
Spathodea is a genus in the plant family Bignoniaceae. The single species it contains, Spathodea campanulata, is commonly known as the African tulip tree. Amaltas also known as Rajvraksha in Ayurveda has bright yellow flowers. It is considered as one of the most beautiful trees of India.
This is one of the trees in full bloom in the Bandra Kurla Complex.

Mumbai summer
These are discarded grinding stones used in Indian kitchens, filled with water for the birds, dogs and cats during the Mumbai summer when temperatures go up to 40c. This is in the Bandra Kurla Complex.
