Lord of the Bells!

Ghanteshwar or Lord of the Bells, is the temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman (monkey God). This is in Khar, a suburb of Mumbai. Devotees donate a bell to the temple as and when their wishes are fulfilled. Looking at the number of bells it surely seems like a lot of people have had their wishes granted by praying here! From tomorrow we will see the temple and its bells from many different angles and closeups too.

Captain

The Captain of our boat steering us back to Mumbai mainland. Thank you folks for coming along on a trip to Elephanta Caves. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Having seen the Elephanta caves we now return to the jetty to take our boat back to the mainland. On the way are these wonderful mangroves.

The curious one..

Outside the caves there are plenty of monkeys prancing around soliciting food and even water. If you look closely you will see a bottle of water on the tree!
