Retailers...

It is retailers like these that are driving out the door to door sellers. Nowadays there is nobody at home to buy from the door to door vegetable and fruit vendors who carry on their trade only during day time. So people prefer to pick up their requirements from retail marts on their way back from work.

  3. I'm always at home and I always answer the door. It's the only diversion I get from watching the cars go by all day.

  4. That is one of the amazing things here in Paris: There are shops in every street corner open even after midnight, where you can find almost anything you need. Living in the center of Paris, I decided to get rid of my car. I'm now living without it since a month, happy about it and doing my shopping just around the corner at more or less any time of the day. Will it remain so for long? I personally hope so.

  5. nobody's at home because all are either at work, or at school (or somewhere else) ... woe to the peddlers!
