It had started drizzling when this pigeon came and sat on the window sill asking to be photographed and posted on CDPB. I obliged as it was an irresistible opportunity. Pigeons along with crows and sparrows rule the roost in Mumbai.
Those three bird varieties are scavengers - they pick up the bits of food that humans drop. I do not usually like pigeons but this one has particularly nice wing markings.
je déteste les pigeons, on en a plein à Évry, et ils salissent tout. Les pigeons se n'est romantique qu'a Venise ;o). I hate pigeons, they are full in Evry, and they all dirty. Pigeons are so romantic only in Venice ;o).
I'm not so sure if I've said this before - if you've seen a sparrow recently, you are a LUCKY one! They're almost extinct. Haven't seen one in Chennai for a long, long time :(

then i must dedicate today's blue sky to you! I wish it would rain in Greece in the summer too, because we could do with some cleaning up!

I've posted these birds several times. They are such interesting colours, this one has orange eyes!
ReplyDeleteCome over to Cheltenham to see where I've been :)
I believe pigeons probably rule the world! Nice photo.
