Water woes

These water tankers are a common sight in the suburbs of Mumbai where the housing and population is growing faster than the infrastructure leading to severe water shortages. It is then that these tankers which are the most sought after for a partial solution to the problem. It has become such an established business now that there are rumours of a 'water tanker mafia' which tries its best to ensure that there is a perennial water shortage by ensuring that the laying of new water pipelines are delayed as much as possible. Obviously all this is done with the assistance of local politicians who get fattened at the expense of the common man.

  2. le pouvoir de l'eau est l'un des pouvoirs les plus importants (d'après moi plus que le pouvoir du pétrole). Il est toujours triste quand on voit des gens profitaient pour trafiquer. bravo pour ton post, c'est un sujet très important

the power of water is one of the most important powers (after me more than the power of oil). It is always sad when you see people taking advantage to fiddle. bravo to your post, it is a very important subject

  4. Oh my. This past few months, I really am working on my use of water because I am so concern with the environment nowadays. These water spills on the roads are also common here in Cavite especially when water trucks like that pass by!
