Dadar, being a predominantly middle class area, has plenty of old buildings like pictured above. The residents are in no hurry to redevelop them into skyscraping monstrosities.
cela me fait penser à certains quartiers parisien qui sont restes encore tres populaire (pour combien de temps, vu le prix de l'immobilier à Paris) it makes me think of some Paris neighborhoods that are still remains very popular (for how long, given the price of real estate in Paris)
I agree with comments above, sad when they tear down the old buildings and cut down the trees. And often what replaces them is too expensive for the former residents to move back in.
It looks like one of those places where the neighbors talk to one another on the balcony and borrow a cup of sugar. Neighbors who become extended families.....
Truly said, I like the serenity and calm surroundings of the bylanes in Old Dadar.
