Camera Critters

The Mumbai moth :) Frankly I don't know what type of moth it is but see it in Mumbai so! Grateful for any enlightenment on the subject.

  1. What a perfect shot! Did you ask him to pose for you? He is an ugly little bugger, isn't he?

  5. An amazing and great photo of a very interesting little bug. I'm afraid I don't have a clue as to what it is but I have enjoyed this photo very much. Hope someone can identify it for you.

  6. Fantastic shot - my jaw dropped when I saw this!

He looks like a little plane ready to take off. :)

  9. Moths are food for bats over here but maybe not this one.

  10. He looks like he is waiting for a signal from air traffic control so he can take off!

    Great shot.

  12. Hard to distinguish without seeing the markings on the wings .. but it reminds me of a Miller moth, they like nesting in trees and occasionally finding their way into our apartment where the cats love trying to catch and eat it

  13. "Hey, why are you taking my picture?" asked the moth.

"Because you're so cute," said Magiceye.

"I'm not cute," said the Moth. "I'm a Mumbai mumblebee."

"You are not!" responded Magiceye. "I've never heard of such a thing! You're not even a Mumbai bumblebee. You're just a moth!"

"Do you love me?" asked the moth.

    "Of course," said Magiceye.

"So, take my picture already. Then I'll follow you home."

Magiceye took the picture and here it is.

Very nice indeed, for a Mumbai mumblebee!

  14. Cool capture! He's not the cutest thing I've ever seen; but he's not the ugliest either.
