Our World

Google+ celebrated World Photography Day at a special event in 'Tote on the Turf' at Mahalaxmi yesterday. The keynote address was delivered by Padmashree Raghu Rai - India's renowned photographer who spoke about his transition to the digital format and what photography meant to him. Was very interesting and educative listening to him. He emphasised the importance of a spiritual connect to achieve excellence in one's work.

Somehow I missed the memo about WPD, but none-the-less good to hear about it now! Yes, soul is the essential ingredient in everything!! Lovely indoor capture, portraiting Rai-ji perfectly.

  9. I would have enjoyed that speech, I'm sure, although I don't much care for Google or Google +.

When digital first reared it's head, I said "It'll never work." Of course at that time digital pictures were the pits. But boy, was I wrong!

Sorry for the absence, but 2013 has been even worse than 2012... Anyhow, enjoy the blues of Grenada, and have a great vacation, if you can manage!!
    All the best!
