Peering

A male Asian Koel on the banyan tree outside my window.

The Asian koel is a member of the cuckoo order of birds, the Cuculiformes. It is found in the Indian Subcontinent, China, and Southeast Asia. The Asian koel like many of its related cuckoo kin is a brood parasite that lays its eggs in the nests of crows and other hosts, who raise its young. They are unusual among the cuckoos in being largely frugivorous as adults. Eco warrior

This boy rides around 25 kilometers everyday to sell tender coconuts in the suburbs between Bandra and Santa Cruz. The blue bags are for the emptied coconut shells and shavings to ensure he does not leave any litter behind him. A true eco warrior.

Gulmohar

All these Gulmohar trees are in full bloom to signify how red hot summer is in Mumbai.

Ready to eat

The famous Alphonso mango, popularly known as Hapoos, cut and diced, ready to eat. Actually it is best eaten whole, skinning it with one's teeth and then biting into the delicious sweet flesh with its juice streaming down to the elbow, finishing it off by sucking on the seed, not a bit of flesh left behind. It's an art!
